3/4 | cup | Karo Light Corn Syrup | |

1 | tablespoon | corn starch | |
|
|||
1/2 | teaspoon | ground cinnamon | |
|
|||
2 | lbs. | ripe fresh plums, pitted, quartered | |
|
|||
1 1/4 | cups | buttermilk baking mix | |
|
|||
1/2 | cup | finely chopped nuts (optional) | |
|
|||
1/3 | cup | milk | |
|
|||
1/4 | cup | sugar | |
|
Stir together first 3 ingredients; toss with plums. Spoon into 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish. Bake in 400 F. oven 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, mix remaining ingredients. Beat vigorously 20 strokes. Drop by spoonfuls onto hot plums. Bake 15 to 20 minutes longer.
